When it comes to coffee time, things are getting very serious in Greece..

I happen to live in Athens and like a person who respects himself, in line with million others, I'm used
to enjoy my coffee around noon time. Nowadays, as the crisis intensifies, I've noticed some significant changes in the habits of many people. It sounds logical, at least to my ears. Every week I notice new entries in the field.

New cafes, new bars and restaurants, all with a dream to make the difference....

Unfortunately noone seems to impress me and force me to change my regular haunt: "Common secret cafe", standing in the border of Kifissia and N. Erithrea.

Actually this " classic "cafe, running its 13th year, is serving the best espressos and cappuccinos, out of Italy!

And on top of that, the inspiring setting (full of antiques and leather sofas), gives Common secret an English flair, much appreciated by the habitues.

From time to time, when I want to treat some friends from abroad, I use to take them out for dinner.

And guess what, my first choice is always Common secret. Great plates, excellent service and... as a bonus, certain days of the week live jazz or modern music!

What else should I ask........
